I think it helps students that might be shy to answer or participate
live lessons also allow teachers to build and establish rapport with students.

Yes, Laurie, it is so great when those two forces join.
They can interact with the material at their own time and pace, but still receive synchronous support and interaction where eye contact, body language etc, can come into play
Mostly concurrent/hyflex teaching for our component districts
